Career support for researchers considering career options. The programme consists of coaching, independent learning, peer support, informal small-group workshops, industry information and exercises.
If that sounds like you, apply to join the University of Leeds Career Architect Programme.
The extensive programme combines coaching, independent learning, peer support and informal small-group workshops with ‘industry savvy’ information and exercises, to help researchers in all disciplines who are considering a range of suitable career options. Over 100 researchers have successfully completed this programme so far, with more than 70 per cent finding professional research-level opportunities in industry, in non-for-profit and public sector organisations, start-ups or by creating their own portfolio careers and new ventures.

Career Architect has being piloted to help us understand how we can transform it from a face-to-face programme into a format that can run online or as a blended resource.
The next cohort runs in May 2022, with a launch event expected to take place in March 2022. Dates and information will be published here, if you would like to register your interest or enquire about this programme please email academicdev@leeds.ac.uk.

Places are limited to 12 participants and there is a selection process to ensure that those taking part are those likely to gain the most.
Please note: the Programme is aimed at researchers who are looking to move on from academic research and teaching, so you cannot apply if you are currently in the process of or planning to apply for a fellowship or academic post.
