Networks

Impact Network

There is an informal Impact Network at the University. It is currently convened by Ged Hall (Academic Development Consultant - OD&PL).

The network runs regular meetings (all very informal). The meetings include literature discussions (e.g. academic literature on evaluation), open meetings to discuss practical issues relating to impact and case study presentations from members to share practice. There are also resources available within the Team e.g. lists of literature, books, etc.

Its participants are mostly in professional / support roles but academics do come along, including Professor Nick Plant Dean of Research Quality and Impact and soon to be interim DVC Research and Innovation.

The network is currently operating via Teams. This link will add you to the Team. You can also use this code e6mca3d within the Desktop Microsoft Team app to join.

Engaged Research Team

The Engaged Research Team is administered by Alexa Ruppertsberg (Head of Public Engagement), Juliet Jopson (Policy Officer, Policy Leeds), Shauni Sanderson (Public Engagement Officer) and Erin McNeill (Physics Outreach Officer).
The purpose of the team is
1. to be the go-to place for all things related to Engagement with Research
2. to bring like-minded people together to build a community including academics, researchers, and professional staff
3. to provide support and resources in one place you can come back to
4. to bring people together across the University to maximise synergies around engagement (at the minute that's Public and Policy Engagement with the potential for adding more)
The team has over 500 members from across the university (academic and non-academic roles). There are also resources available within the Team e.g. lists of literature, books, etc.
